About the online level test
- 25 multiple choice questions
- 10 to 20 minutes
This test is designed to assess your understanding of English grammar, vocabulary and phrasing. Each question is in multiple choice format and you will have a choice of three possible answers.
You will need to read each question carefully and select the answer you think is correct. At the end of the test, you will receive an estimate of your current level of English proficiency.
Instructions
Test your English skills by choosing the correct answer, then decide how confident you are that your answer is correct. Choose from the following: Certain, fairly sure, not sure.
It is very important to be honest about your level of certainty. Your level of English proficiency depends on the answers you give and how certain you are with those answers.
You will not be able to return to the previous question once you submit your answer and move on, so make sure you are completely satisfied with the answer you choose before submitting it.
Results
Your result will be one of three possible levels:
- beginner to pre-intermediate
- intermediate
- upper or upper intermediate.
