The School of Occupational Therapy (www.uwo.ca/fhs/ot) is seeking a fieldwork coordinator for a limited-term position for up to 3 years (potential for renewal) at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor (rank to be commensurate with academic degree). The School of Occupational Therapy is one of six schools in the progressive Faculty of Health Sciences. Candidates must have an entry to practice OT degree (BScOT or MScOT) and a post-professional degree, at least four years’ clinical experience (including student supervision), and be registered or eligible for registration with clinical or mixed designation with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO). The successful candidate will have expertise in the areas of fieldwork and professional practice, and will be required to take a leadership role in managing the School’s fieldwork program. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional consideration will be granted for applicants with leadership and teaching experience, and proficiency related to Canada’s indigenous and/or marginalized populations.
Responsibilities will include: teaching fieldwork courses in the School of Occupational Therapy, leading the fieldwork team, effectively managing and coordinating all of the functions related to fieldwork, liasing with fieldwork sites, preceptors and mentors as well as teaching and completing service within the School, Faculty, and University. Additional duties may include supervision of role-emerging placements and contributing to the development and ongoing operation of an interprofessional clinic.
