Coronavirus: 14-year-old high school student wins $ 25,000 when she finds a potential treatment.

Chebrolu Anika, a young girl of 14 years living in Texas, received 25,000 dollars (21,340 euros), developing a potential treatment in the framework of a competition for young scientists against coronavirus.

This high school student, who is studying in eighth grade in a high school in Frisco, north of Dallas (Texas), therefore took part in the “Young Scientist Challenge”, which is held each year in the United States and which makes it possible to create new generations of scientists. She said she has developed a molecule that binds to a Covid-19 protein and thus paralyzes the development of the virus .
At the start concentrated on putting the development of a treatment against seasonal influenza, the teenager has finally changed course when the pandemic began to accelerate, “motivated by the scale of the pandemic and those who suffer ”.

Anika Chebrolu, which started its project with a basic data of 682 million components, plans to continue his studies to pursue his dream and one day become a great scientist, as she explained to the American media.
