The University of Western Cyprus is pleased to offer Fully Funded Scholarships for International Students

1. To be eligible for an international scholarship, applicants must: (a) have a conditional letter of acceptance and (b) be classified as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
2. Students who are sponsored (i.e. fees are paid) by their employer, government, or a funding agency (in whole / in part) are not eligible for these scholarships.
3. Applicants can only apply for a scholarship if they plan to enroll in the first year of their program in September 2020. Students must enroll in the second, third or fourth year of their course in September 2020 or students who repeat their first year of studies are not eligible to apply.
4. Applicants must be a new international student starting a new program. We cannot consider applications from students who are currently studying at the CWU unless moving to a new program.
5. The scholarships will be a reduction in tuition fees. If you receive a scholarship, your fees will be adjusted prior to your registration.
6. If you are the beneficiary of another scholarship, scholarship and / or reduction in fees from the University, the maximum amount awarded will not exceed half of the tuition fee, except for applicants who receive a fully funded scholarship.
7. The scholarship is not transferable and will not be awarded if you choose to postpone your registration to a different start date or if you choose to transfer to another program at the University.
8. Applicants will be notified whether or not they have received a scholarship (and the value of the scholarship if they have been) within four weeks of the application deadline.
9. The scholarship will be awarded when a candidate accepts their scholarship offer, accepts and fulfills the conditions of their course offer and is eligible to enroll in the course.
10. The scholarships are competitive and the selection is based on the information provided on the scholarship application form. It is therefore very important that you think carefully about and prepare your stock market declaration and that you refer to the criteria provided.
11. The decision of the University on all matters relating to the scholarship is final.
12. If your scholarship application is successful, we may ask you to become a Student Ambassador or appear in the University’s online and / or print marketing materials. For example, providing a student profile and photograph that can be used to promote the University and the University’s scholarship programs and courses. Your name and program will be printed in the scholarship celebration program.
13. If a student fails to complete an eligible course that received the scholarship and chooses to either retake the course or undertake another eligible course, the scholarship will no longer be applied.
14. If a student fails to complete a course and the scholarship has not been applied (i.e. the student has not paid the tuition fee or the tuition fee has been refunded ), subject to eligibility criteria, the scholarship may be available if the student chooses to retake the course or undertake another eligible course. Students must reapply for the scholarship.
