Dancap Chair in Human Resource Management

Applications are invited from exceptional candidates for the Dancap Chair in Human Resource Management in the DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies, Faculty of Social Science, effective July 1, 2020, or as negotiated. The successful candidate will have demonstrated academic excellence based on productivity and impact in research in the area of Human Resource Management and will receive a tenured appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Full Professor. Potential applicants should have a PhD in Business, Management, Industrial Relations, HRM, or a cognate Social Science discipline, and their present research interests should align with the broad study of Human Resource Management. Candidates must possess a record of sustained scholarly research and publications in leading refereed journals, evidence of excellent teaching ability and innovation in program development, and of a wider impact on the scholarly community. The successful candidates will be expected to maintain a strong research program including publishing in leading journals in HRM, successfully competing for research funding, teaching courses in areas such as HRM, strategy, employment relations and cognate fields, and contributing to ongoing curriculum and program development. Reflecting the high-profile nature of this position, the successful candidate should maintain an impressive record of service and leadership in one’s discipline, including involvement in professional associations, conference organization and track chairing, and editorial teams and boards, and serve as an ambassador for the Department.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with previous performance, qualifications and experience in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The appointment is effective July 1, 2020.
