Salary
£30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The School of Biosciences delivers undergraduate and MSci programmes in Animal Science and Agricultural Science, and an MSc in Animal Nutrition at the Sutton Bonington Campus. The purpose of the new role is to contribute to the delivery of this portfolio of taught programmes. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery, administration and development of the School’s undergraduate and MSc courses in Agriculture and Animal Science, mainly in the areas of livestock production science, with emphasis on ruminant livsestock.

This post will involve lecturing, running seminars and practical classes, leading field work and farm visits, conducting assessments, devising and overseeing research projects and giving pastoral care to our students. The ability to design, plan and deliver high quality teaching is essential. The person appointed will also make an appropriate contribution to teaching administration.

The role is based at the Sutton Bonington Campus in the School of Biosciences working within the Divisions of Animal Science and Agricultural and Environmental Science. Further information about the School is available at: www.nottingham.ac.uk/biosciences

Candidates should, as a minimum, have a degree in an area of Agriculture / Agricultural Systems / Animal Science (Livestock Production Science).  Preferably candidates should have a higher degree (Masters or PhD) in the above subject areas and previous experience of teaching in the Higher Education sector.

This role is available on a fixed term contract to 31 August 2024. This is a full time post, however open to a job share.
