Shared Health and the Department of Internal Medicine, Max Rady College of Medicine, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba invite applications for a full-time physician at the Assistant, Associate or Professor rank in the Section of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.  The section is one of 17 in the Department of Internal Medicine, providing patient care, undergraduate, postgraduate and continuing education, and research.  This is a geographical, full-time, contingent position commencing November 1, 2023, or as soon thereafter as possible, renewable upon favorable review. Salary and academic rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

The Section of Allergy & Immunology has access to substantial resources within the health system, primarily at two academic health centres and one community-based hospital.  There are presently 4 full-time academic allergy and clinical immunology physicians within the Section with major clinical and investigative responsibilities in allergy and clinical immunology, and additional part time members.

Based at the Health Sciences Centre, the successful candidate will be a clinician investigator with protected research time and a proven track record in research.  They will have a strong record of publications in high impact journals commensurate with their stage of career, and proven ability to obtain peer-reviewed research funding from recognized granting agencies.  The applicant will have demonstrated a high capacity to successfully interact and collaborate with other clinical and basic scientists locally and/or abroad.

Candidates must have specialty qualifications in Allergy and Clinical Immunology in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.  Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive.  Please contact physicianrecruitment@sharedhealthmb.ca for further information.
