Objectif : récompenser des doctorants et des jeunes chercheurs, porteurs de projets innovants, à fort impact dans les pays du Sud et les Outre-mer français, et répondant aux objectifs de développement durable. Les candidatures sont ouvertes jusqu'au 18 juin.
Pour cette première édition, deux trophées seront attribués. Ils seront remis à l’occasion d'EMERGING Valley, un événement qui se tiendra les 27 et 28 novembre prochains.

Forts du succès des éditions précédentes de CATAPULT : Inclusion Africa depuis 2018, nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que le 6ème bootcamp d'accélération se déroulera en français et se tiendra au Togo du 16 au 20 octobre 2023.
Soutenu par la Direction de la coopération au développement et des affaires humanitaires et développé par la Fondation LHoFT, le programme cible les entreprises axées sur l'inclusion financière en Afrique, visant à établir des ponts avec l'industrie luxembourgeoise de la microfinance tout en mettant en avant leurs initiatives en alignement avec les objectifs de durabilité de la place financière luxembourgeoise. .

Building on the success of the previous editions of CATAPULT: Inclusion Africa since 2018, we are thrilled to announce that the 6th acceleration bootcamp will be run in French and will be hosted in Togo between 16th and 20th October 2023.
Supported by the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and developed by the LHoFT Foundation, the programme targets companies focusing on financial inclusion in Africa, aiming to build bridges with Luxembourg’s Microfinance industry while highlighting their initiatives in alignment with the sustainability goals of Luxembourg’s finance center.
This 6th edition will once again leverage Luxembourg ‘s Inclusive Finance and Fintech ecosystem to support selected firms in developing their businesses and achieving their inclusion goals. In addition, firms will participate in the African Micro Finance Week (SAM) thus gathering with the whole Micro Finance community while making meaningful connections with entrepreneurs, VCs, IMFs and many more.

Le projet de doctorat se concentrera sur l'identification de la dynamique de l'organisation spatiale des types cellulaires ainsi que des modèles d'activité des facteurs de transcription et des régulateurs de la chromatine associés à la pathogenèse de l'insuffisance cardiaque grâce à l'analyse intégrative des transcriptomes unicellulaires, des épigénomes et des transcriptomes spatiaux subcellulaires. Le doctorant sera membre du groupe de formation à la recherche Me In Bio PhD (RTG2344, financé par la Fondation allemande pour la recherche) et bénéficiera de son programme de formation structuré. SOLEIL est le synchrotron national français, situé sur le plateau de Saclay près de Paris. C'est un laboratoire pluridisciplinaire d'instrumentation et de recherche dont la mission est de mener des recherches utilisant le rayonnement synchrotron, de développer une instrumentation de pointe sur les lignes de lumière et de mettre ces développements à la disposition de la communauté scientifique. Le synchrotron SOLEIL, outil unique pour la recherche académique et les applications industrielles dans un large éventail de disciplines telles que la physique, la biologie, la chimie, etc., a ouvert ses portes en 2008. Il est utilisé chaque année par des milliers de chercheurs français et étrangers. SOLEIL s'appuie sur une source synchrotron à la pointe de la technologie tant en termes de brillance que de stabilité. Cette grande installation, partenaire de l'Université Paris Saclay, est une entreprise privée « publique », fondée par le CNRS et le CEA.
Le synchrotron SOLEIL ouvre un poste de post-doctorant sur la ligne de lumière DEIMOS (Dichroism Experimental Installation for Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy, www.synchrotron-soleil.fr/en/beamlines/deimos). Le DEIMOSLa ligne de lumière est dédiée aux mesures d'absorption et dichroïques dans la gamme d'énergie 350-2500 eV et possède une expertise de longue date dans le développement de dispositifs à basse température et à champ magnétique élevé. Notre dernière réalisation est un réfrigérateur à dilution 3He-4He développé pour atteindre une température inférieure à Kelvin tout en effectuant des mesures XAS dans la plage d'énergie douce. Nous avons également commencé à étudier les caractéristiques d'une toute nouvelle station terminale sans cryogène pour les températures ultra-basses. Le candidat postdoctoral recherché participera aux aspects de mise en service / développement de ces instruments uniques. De plus, son activité de recherche devra faire bon usage de ces environnements d'échantillons spécifiques et en particulier des températures ultra-basses (par exemple au sujet du magnétisme moléculaire ou des systèmes fortement corrélés).
Le candidat doit être titulaire d'un doctorat. ou diplôme équivalent en physique, science des matériaux, chimie ou dans une discipline connexe. Une première expérience dans un centre de rayonnement synchrotron sera grandement appréciée.

It is a multi-disciplinary instrument and research laboratory whose mission is to conduct research using synchrotron radiation, to develop cutting edge instrumentation on the beamlines, and to make these developments available to the scientific community. SOLEIL synchrotron, a unique tool for both academic research and industrial applications across a wide range of disciplines including physics, biology, chemistry etc., opened in 2008. It is used annually by thousands researchers from France and abroad. SOLEIL is based on a synchrotron source that is state-of-the-art both in terms of brilliance and stability. This large scale facility, a partner of the Université Paris Saclay, is a “publically owned” private company, founded by the CNRS and the CEA.
Synchrotron SOLEIL has an opening for a post-doctoral position on the DEIMOS (Dichroism Experimental Installation for Magneto-Optical Spectroscopy, www.synchrotron-soleil.fr/en/beamlines/deimos) beamline. The DEIMOS beamline is devoted to absorption and dichroic measurements in the 350-2500 eV energy range and has a long-standing expertise in the development on low temperature and high magnetic field devices. Our latest achievement is a 3He-4He dilution refrigerator developed to reach sub-Kelvin temperature while performing XAS measurements in the soft energy range. We have also started to study the characteristics of a completely new cryogen-free end-station for ultra-low temperatures. The desired postdoctoral candidate will participate to the aspects of commissioning / development of these unique instruments. Moreover, his/her research activity should make good use of these specific sample environments and in particular the ultra-low temperatures (for instance on the subject of molecular magnetism or strongly correlated systems).
The candidate should hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry or a related discipline. Previous experience in a synchrotron radiation center will be greatly appreciated.

Applications are invited for a fully funded PhD studentship (3 years) within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Nottingham. The student will work with an interdisciplinary supervisory team with expertise in 3D printing, functional low dimensional materials and sensing.
We seek to use 3D printing to create novel multimaterial functional structures capable of new ways of sensing underlying material properties. We will use low dimensional materials, including graphene, perovskites and nanodiamonds incorporated into polymers, ceramics and glasses and we will use 3D printing to form them into geometrically complex structures. We will explore how low dimensional materials behave when included within a 3D printed matrix, and we will use their functionality to design and create sensors that can be used for, e.g., examining tissue health or failure in structures under load.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for research and an interest in using 3D printing, chemistry, materials science, or materials engineering to create innovative products. They will have a background in engineering, physics or chemistry, but also be willing to learn and explore other disciplines, as required to meet the project goals. The studentship is an exciting research collaboration between supervisors based within the Centre for Additive Manufacturing (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/groups/cfam/) and the Optics and Photonics Group (https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/groups/optics-and-photonics-research-group/index.aspx). The project will be part of an EPSRC Programme Grant: Dialling Up Performance for On Demand Manufacturing led by Professor Ricky Wildman and Dr. Lyudmila Turyanska and a Royal Academy of Engineering Fellowship in Emerging Technologies, held by Professor Melissa Mather and will have access to state of the art laboratories and be part of a wide multi-institution and multidisciplinary team. The University of Nottingham facilitates access to a range of networking and training opportunities in addition to the above, including our Researcher Academy and the successful candidate will benefit from alignment with other programmes such as those provided by the Quantum Technology Sensing and Timing Hub, which our groups are members of.

The Jewish General Hospital receives more than 90,000 visits per year, is one of the busiest adult emergency departments in Quebec, with high acuity for various pathologies, and is a center of excellence in ultrasound service (POCUS). As such, we are responsible for supervising medical students and residents in the CCFP-MU and FRCP emergency medicine training programs, as well as off-duty family medicine residents. We are very involved in the academic and medico-administrative world.
Duties In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will provide quality clinical teaching and supervision of medical students and undergraduate residents.
The successful candidate will be an integrated member of the Point-of-Care Ultrasound Educational Team (POCUS), supervising learners in basic and advanced point-of-care ultrasound applications and conducting research original clinics.

At Sanofi, we recognise the critical role that not-for-profit organisations* play in sharing information about vaccines and immunisation with their communities. To support community-based vaccine education and uptake initiatives, Sanofi Australia & New Zealand has created With Vaccines Community Grants with a value of up to $10,000 each.
These grants are available to not-for-profit organisations which seek to improve public health with vaccines.
Community health and other not-for-profit organisations are encouraged to apply for a With Vaccines Community Grant and play their part in helping protect the health of Australians.
1. Terms and Conditions 1.1 These terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) apply to Sanofi’s “With Vaccines” Community Grants Program (“Program”). By applying for and participating in the Program, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
2. Definitions 2.1 In these Terms and Conditions, unless the contrary appears: (a) ‘Applicant’ means the applicant to the Program.
(b) ‘Applicable Corruption Law’ means all of the laws, rules, regulations and other legally binding measures relating to bribery, corruption, money laundering, fraud or similar activities of Australia.
(c) ‘Grant’ means the money (up to AUD$10,000), or any part of it, payable by Sanofi to the Recipient for the carrying out of the Project.
(d) ‘Material’ includes documents, equipment, software (including source code and object code versions), goods, information and data stored by any means including all copies and extracts of them.
(e) ‘Panel’ has the meaning given to that term in clause 5.1.
(f) ‘Public Official’ includes any person representing or employed by a government department or enterprise.
(g) ‘Program’ has the meaning given to that term in clause 1.
(h) ‘Project’ means the project that the Applicant has applied to receive funding for as part of the Program and as described in the application.
(i) ‘Purpose’ has the meaning given to that term in clause 3.1(a).
(j) ‘Recipient’ has the meaning given to that term in clause 6.1.
(k) ‘Terms and Conditions’ has the meaning given to that term in clause 1.
3. Eligibility 3.1 The Applicant must meet the eligibility requirements set out below. Any Applicants found to be ineligible to participate in the Program will be notified and subsequently excluded from participation. (a) The Program is open to Australian community health and other not-for-profit organisations (registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission) that are seeking funding support (up to AUD$10,000) for Projects that will improve vaccine uptake or educational programs within their community (“Purpose”).
(b) Applications from ‘for profit’, political organisations, or individuals including for scholarships or medical research will not be considered.
(c) Applications that include activities that do not meet Sanofi’s ethical standards (www.codeofconduct.sanofi/), or the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (e.g. promoting a specific named brand of vaccine) will not be considered.
(d) Requests for product donation will not be considered.
4. Application and review process 4.1 Unless otherwise advised by Sanofi, the Program will be opened once a year in April. Applicants must submit their applications by 1st June of each year. 4.2 Applicants can apply for the Program by completing both the Entry Form and Due Diligence Form available on www.sanofi.com.au/withvaccines 4.3 All Applicants will be advised, via email, when their application is received. Formal assessment of applications must establish that the application: (a) meets the eligibility criteria set out in clause 3; and
(b) has been completed in full, satisfactorily and is accompanied by the appropriate documentation.
5. Judging process 5.1 Applications that pass the assessment process will be presented to the Sanofi ANZ Grants and Donations Committee. Applications recommended by the Sanofi ANZ Grants and Donations Committee will then be presented to the With Vaccines Community Grant Panel (“Panel”). 5.2 The Panel will use the following judging criteria to determine the Applicants that will be awarded the Grant: (a) Ease and practicality of implementation of the Project in the communities; (b) The size of the community that can potentially be impacted by the Project; (c) Likely impact of the Project in delivering an outcome aligned with the Purpose; (d) Clear Project deliverables and measures of success within the given timeframe; (e) A clear Project budget that takes into consideration other funding streams (if required); (f) Appropriate reporting to confirm the Project was executed as planned.
5.3 Applicants will be advised of their application outcome in writing within 10 weeks of the Program application closing date.
6. Successful Applicants and grant payment 6.1 Up to 10 successful Applicants (“Recipient”) of the Program will be selected each year. The Panel’s decision in selecting the Recipients will be made in their sole and absolute discretion. This decision is not subject to review or appeal. Recipients will also be required to enter into a separate Community Grants Agreement with Sanofi, which will set out additional requirements, obligations and terms and conditions in relation to the provision and use of the Grant. 6.2 Sanofi reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to modify the processes outlined in these terms and conditions or to follow a different assessment process or to cease the Program. 6.3 Recipient will be required to complete additional forms and provide further documentation to receive the Grant. Each will need to be completed in full and returned to Sanofi before the Grant can be processed. Once all necessary documentation has been processed by Sanofi, Recipients will be provided with a purchase order number, which must be quoted on their final invoice. Sanofi will pay the Grant within 30 days of the invoice.
7. Ensuring success of Grants provided 7.1 Recipient agrees to spend the entire amount of the Grant for the purpose of undertaking the Project only. Failure to comply with this clause 7 may result in the Recipient being required to repay the Grant to Sanofi. 7.2 Recipient agrees to provide a report (including but not limited to written confirmation, receipts and other related documents) verifying that the Grant was used in accordance the Community Grants Agreement and these Terms and Conditions. This confirmation must be provided within 12 months of the Grant being received. 7.3 Sanofi will not be responsible for any additional project costs, nor obliged to pay any monies additional to the Grant. 7.4 The Program administrative lead will remind the Recipients of the requirement set out in clause 7.1 6 months after the Grant is provided and then again at 9 months if no confirmation has been received.
8. Acknowledgement and Media Activity
8.1 Recipients agrees to acknowledge Sanofi’s support in any Material published in connection with the Project and agrees to use any form of acknowledgment Sanofi reasonably specify. 8.2 The Recipient will be required to comply with any Sanofi branding and recognition requirements in the delivery of the Project. 8.3 All advertising, signage, media releases and other promotional material that contains Sanofi and the Program name or logo must be submitted to and approved by Sanofi prior to its production and release. If directed by Sanofi, the Recipient must not use Sanofi and Program name or logo in any such materials. 8.4 Sanofi will use information and photographs about the Recipient’s receipt of the Grant and the Program to promote the Program and the work being delivered, including via Sanofi’s social media platforms. This may include Sanofi’s representative visiting the communities positively impacted by the Project (where relevant) to conduct filming, media activities and stakeholder visits for the sole purpose of promoting the Program. The details of such activity will be agreed with the Recipient in advance. 8.5 Once all the selection process has been finalised and Community Grants Agreement with each of the Recipients have been signed, Sanofi will issue a media release that confirms the Recipients and some of the proposed Projects. The Recipient agree to be included in various media, communication and promotional material (non-product related) and will cooperate with Sanofi in promoting the Program. 8.6 The Recipient must not use any Sanofi or Program branding for purposes not directly related to the Project.
9. Insurance 9.1 The Applicant is responsible for maintaining any insurance cover required for their Project. The Applicant must provide insurance details during the formal application process, if requested by Sanofi.
10. Project cancellation or change 10.1 Any proposed changes or cancellation of the Project to that included in the application must be in writing and approved by Sanofi in advance. Sanofi reserves the right to withdraw the award of a Grant if, in the sole discretion of Sanofi, it forms the view that the revised Project does not meet the judging criteria for which it was originally awarded.
11. Conflict of Interest 11.1 The Recipient agrees to notify Sanofi promptly of any actual, perceived or potential conflicts of interest which could affect the Recipient’s performance of the Project and agrees to take action to resolve the conflict.
12. Anti-Corruption
12.1 The Applicant must always comply with all Applicable Corruption Law related to bribery and corruption and not offer, promise or give (either directly or indirectly) any financial or other advantage: (a) to any person with the intention of inducing that person to breach a position of trust or duty of good faith or impartiality; or (b) to any Public Official intending to influence that official; with the aim that either party should benefit as a result. 12.2 Sanofi may immediately terminate the Program or withhold or cancel payment of the Grant to the Applicant if any person participating in the Project is in breach of this clause.
13. General 13.1 The person accepting these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Applicant represents that they have the authority to do so. 13.2 The Grant is provided to the Applicant and is non-transferable. Any proposed transfer of the grant must first obtain Sanofi’s prior written permission which can be provided or withheld at its sole discretion. 13.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions constitute an exclusive arrangement or partnership, joint venture, fiduciaries, agency or an employer and employee relationship between the Applicant and Sanofi. 13.4 These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New South Wales and the parties irrevocably submit to the courts of New South Wales. 13.5 The Applicant agrees to receive communications from Sanofi using the details provided on its application.

Maximum duration of the grant is six months and aims to support projects that can advance new or scale up promising media innovation.
The selected candidates will benefit from support on design thinking methods and will be mentored by the regional partner (Maharat Foundation) based on their needs and demands.
Terms of submission and selection:
- Innovative (out of the box thinking, new alliances and partnership)
- Ability to commit and collaborate with project coordinators
- The ability to diversify sources and reach marginalized groups
Duration and Budget:
Maximum duration of the grant is six months, each grantee can receive an amount of maximum 20,000 Euro (Maximum of 70% will be funded, with the expectation that the remaining 30% of the total budget comes from other means)
3 projects per grant cycle will be selected

The mission of the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) is to commission research in sports medicine and science and, where feasible, establish standards for athletic equipment. Accordingly, the intent of the NOCSAE grant program is to commission investigator-initiated research and to provide support for education, health, and safety research and development. The NOCSAE research plan proposed by the applicant must be related to NOCSAE’s stated program interests. NOCSAE will fund awards under two separate mechanisms:
NOCSAE invites all investigator-initiated proposals that address NOCSAE’S core mission. Specific research topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
NOCSAE awards grants to organizations of all types (universities, colleges, small businesses, for profit, etc.) within North America. Our grant mechanisms allow an investigator to define the scientific focus or objective of the research based on a particular area of interest and competence.
This program requires a two-phase process consisting of an initial letter of intent followed by submission of a full project application. The research director will review all letters of intent and the NOCSAE board of directors will vote on which letters to move forward for a full application submission.

Le Burroughs Wellcome Fund vise à stimuler la croissance de nouvelles relations entre les chercheurs travaillant dans des domaines largement déconnectés qui pourraient ensemble changer le cours de l'impact du changement climatique sur la santé humaine. Au cours des deux prochaines années, nous consacrerons 1 million de dollars au soutien de petites subventions de démarrage de 2 500 à 50 000 dollars pour atteindre cet objectif.
Les propositions seront acceptées sur une base continue jusqu'au 12 juillet 2023 . Une revue sera effectuée trimestriellement. Après chaque examen trimestriel, nous soutiendrons, refuserons ou renverrons les propositions aux candidats pour révision, mais nous pourrons retenir certaines propositions pour un examen ultérieur. The Burroughs Wellcome Fund aims to stimulate the growth of new connections between scholars working in largely disconnected fields who might together change the course of climate change’s impact on human health. Over the next two years, we will dedicate $1M to supporting small, early-stage grants of $2,500 - $50,000 toward achieving this goal.
Proposals will be accepted on a rolling basis through July 12, 2023. A review will be conducted quarterly. After each quarterly review, we will support, decline, or send proposals back to applicants for revision, but may hold some proposals over for a future review. Recommended revisions may include suggestions that separate groups of applicants submitting similar proposals work together to develop a single proposal or that applicants consider becoming involved in efforts aligned with work funded in earlier quarters.
